Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing pancreatic endoderm cells. More specifically, it relates to a method for producing pancreatic endoderm cells, which includes a step of culturing pancreatic endoderm cells in the presence of a ROCK inhibitor, and to pancreatic endoderm cells produced by the method.

Comments

The invention allows pancreatic endoderm cells to be proliferated with high efficiency. The cells proliferated by the method of the invention, and pancreatic endocrine cells and pancreatic exocrine cells, including pancreatic β cells, obtained by inducing differentiation from the cells, can be used clinically and are expected to be used in fields such as regenerative medicine.
