Title of Invention Method of efficiently establishing induced pluripotent stem cells
Abstract

This invention, in one major embodiment, relates to a method for producing an iPS cell, which comprises bringing a somatic cell into contact with a combination of (a) Oct3/4 or a nucleic acid encoding the same, (b) Klf4 or a nucleic acid encoding the same, and (c) Sox2 or a nucleic acid encoding the same, as well as (d1) L-Myc or a nucleic acid encoding the same and/or (d2) a functional inhibitor of p53. Preferably, the reprogramming factors are introduced into a somatic cell by means of an episomal vector, especially of the early self-removal type, containing loxP sequences.

Comments

・This application is still in the international phase.
・The invention enables the efficient establishment of a safe human iPS cell suitable for clinical applications.
