| Abstract | Provided is a method of producing nephron progenitor cells (NPC) and ureteric epithelial progenitor cells (UEPC) including a step of contacting intermediate mesoderm (IM) cells, differentiated from posterior primitive streak cells derived from hPSC, with FGF9 and/or FGF20 and/or FGF2 and optionally one or more selected from the group consisting of BMP7, heparin, a Wnt agonist and retinoic acid to thereby procude NPC and UEPC under conditions that induce aggregation of NPC and UEPC into renal organoids. |
