Abstract | Provided is a method for producing biliary epithelial progenitor cells comprising a step of culturing hepatoblasts, which may be derived from pluripotent stem cells, in a medium containing TGFβ and EGF. The biliary epithelial progenitor cells obtained by the method include the cells in the doctal plate (DP) phase and the remodeling doctal plate (RDP) phase, which can be induced sequentially in a stepwise manner. |
