| Abstract | The present invention provides a method for maintaining and amplifying human primordial germ cells (hPGCs) or human primordial germ cell-like cells (hPGCLCs) derived from human pluripotent stem cells, said method comprising culturing hPGCLCs in the presence of (i) forskolin or a phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor, and (ii) one or more cytokines selected from the group consisting of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), and epidermal growth factor (EGF). |
