| Abstract | Provided is a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for tauopathy, that contains an α2δ inhibitor for voltage-gated calcium channels. The present invention has been completed based on the findings obtained from a screening assay using a cerebral cortical nerve cell produced from a familial FTLD-patient-derived iPS cell, which is an excellent tauopathy cell model exhibiting a cell death induced from the spontaneous tau oligomerization, coupled with a drug repositioning approach. |
