Abstract | Provided is a method for isolating ureteric bud tip cells, which are thought to be self-renewing stem cells of urinary buds and serve as the progenitors for all cell types of the collecting duct, comprising the steps of: (1) bringing cells, tissues, or organoids which contain the ureteric bud tip cells into contact with a very-low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDL-R) binding substance; and (2) isolating the ureteric bud tip cells by using said binding substance as an index. |
