Abstract | This invention relates to an efficient and stable method for producing nephron precursors or nephron organoids through a stepwise differentiation of pluripotent stem cells. More specifically, the invention is characterized by including the following two novel methods: (1) a method for producing late presomitic mesoderm cells, comprising a step of culturing presomitic mesoderm cells in a medium containing a specified set of growth factors and small molecule inhibitors; and (2) a method for producing posterior intermediate mesoderm cells, comprising a step of culturing late presomitic mesoderm cells in a medium containing a specified set of growth factors. |
